Founded in the year 1849, St. Andrew's Society of Detroit is a 501c3 non-profit organization and is the oldest benevolent organization in the State of Michigan. Our mission is to provide assistance to fellow Scots and to encourage the love of Scotland through its history, customs, music, literature and national games.

Our 162nd Annual Highland Games are now history. Keep an eye on this page for information about our 163nd Highland Games, to be held at Historic Greenmead in Livonia, on August 3-4, 2012. Enjoy our 2011 games pictures in our Picture Gallery.

Coming Events:

- Our Burns Pub Night was a wonderfull success. See you next year!

- A Scotch and Beer Tasting Event is schedualed on Friday, February 17, 2012.

- Enjoy our Friday Fish Fry beginning on Friday March 2nd and running through March 30, 2012.

- We will host our Tartan Day Ceilidh on Saturday April 14, 2012.

- - Our Annual Highland Games will begin with our traditional Ceilidh on Friday evening, August 3, 2012 followed by a full day at our games on August 4.

- Kirkin' of the Tartans will be held at the Jefferson Avenue Presbyterian Church at 8625 E. Jefferson Ave in Detroit on Sunday, November 18, 2012. Services will begin at 10:30 am. Please arrive early.

- Our St. Andrew's Dinner will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2012.
